This is a plain-language description of what thecreativityplaybook.com does with your information today. It is a draft for the authors to check, and it will change before we add anything new that collects data.

What we collect

We don’t collect any personal information ourselves. There is no sign-up, no login and no contact form on the site at the moment. Our hosting provider keeps routine server logs, described below.

What stays in your browser

The Random Idea Generator can save ideas you like. Those are stored in your browser’s local storage on your own device. They are never sent to us, and you can clear them any time by clearing the site’s data in your browser settings.

Cookies and third parties

The site sets no cookies and loads no advertising or tracking scripts. Fonts and images are served from the site itself, with no third-party fonts or embeds.

Analytics

We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits. It reports page views, where visitors came from, and broad details such as country, browser and device type. It also counts a few actions, such as using a tool or opening a puzzle hint or answer, and records only the tool’s name or the puzzle’s ID. Vercel says this service does not use cookies and does not follow individual people across sites. See Vercel’s Web Analytics privacy notes for details.

Hosting

The site is hosted on Vercel. Like any web host, Vercel’s servers process basic technical information, such as your IP address and the pages you request, to deliver the pages and keep the service secure. See Vercel’s privacy policy for how it handles that data.

Before we change any of this

We plan to offer a launch-day email alert for the book. Before it goes live, we will update this page to say exactly what is collected, why, who handles it, and how to opt out. Email sign-up will use a confirmation step, and you will be able to unsubscribe at any time.
